STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Gina Picinic

Nevertheless, Picinic's focus is her career in music. She is hard at work on recording some new songs, especially one song about the village where she was born. Picinic has performed extensively in several private functions, concerts, and fundraisers while constantly going back and forth between the U.S. and Croatia. The majority of Picinic's songs are inspired by the folk stories from her native countries and personal experiences.
However, Picinic's biggest inspiration is her mother, who was forced to work three jobs when she and her two daughters came to the U.S.
"My mother, Blazenka Picinic, has been my role model since I can remember," Picinic said. "[She is] my shoulder to cry on, my spine. She is also the strongest woman I have ever had the privilege to know. […] She has encouraged me to be myself, do the best that I can, and not to give up on my dreams. Even today she goes with me to studios, concerts, and tours."
There is no doubt that Gina Picinic's mother will continue to follow this NJCU star on her unique path to fame.

Wow, she is truly a very talented and motivated individual. There is no doubt that she will go far in life and achieve her goals.
