The Gothic Times student newspaper recognizes the importance of giving back. That's why this Friday, May 4th at the GSUB Cafe from 6p-10pm, we're throwing this event - to honor students that worked hard all year and to raise money for Habitat for Humanity - an organization that enables students to make a difference in other people's lives.

The evening will start with a small ceremony to hand out the annual HART AWARD. This $500 scholarship is awarded by Gothic Times student staff members to one of the members on the staff.

Then just a few short speeches and let the party begin!!!

DJ Nix In The Mix from BET & MTV, who performed at NJCU's senior class luncheon and Spring Fest will be making bodies move most of the night.

NJCU's own student rock band, "One Word Song" will then bring down the house as they perform some of their best tunes.

And the coed break dancing crew, NBK Featuring Raw Elementz will be making some moves of their own.

Towards the end, we'll give away the Special Edition RED iPod, which Apple Inc. gives a portion of the proceeds for fighting AIDS in Africa. So hold on to your tickets, cause every dollar you donate upon entry gives you additional chances to win!

All ticket proceeds for this event go towards the Habitat For Humanity organization.

And come hungry cause there will be free food and beverages!

There's a one dollar minimum donation at the door. But each ticket can potentially win you the Special Edition RED iPod. So give as much as you want and better your chances!

Music, food & prizes. What better way to kickoff the weekend before finals!

All students, administration, faculty & NJCU staff are welcome. Bring your friends and help raise money for Habitat For Humanity!
