Dear Gothic Knight Community I regret to inform you that the family of Mr. Craig Morrison, a Senior English Major, Vice President of Student Government, Greek Senate Treasurer, frequent community outreach volunteer and student leader lost his Jersey City home and a majority of his family's belongings to a house fire last night.

Students gathered at the Gilligan Student Union Building (GSUB) Cafeteria yesterday at 3pm to meet the candidates for the SGO Spring Election. Students were given the chance to voice their opinions, and the candidates announced their platforms. Uncontested candidate for the presidency, Maurice Washington, lead his ticket into presenting its stated aims to the student body.

It is not so much greed as enterprise that is the driving force behind the three of the group's founding members. Jason Nadolny, 34, a graduate student in Finance and the president of the SIM Group, Chris Smiga, 21, the group's chief economist and an Economics undergrad, Kamil Ponichowski, 22, a Finance undergrad, are no fools when it comes to money.

Models walk to and fro, addressing a makeshift runway with a predatory stare. Lincoln Farquharson issues commentary while in another room, Renata Moreira works with students to iron out details of an upcoming runway show. This may be mistaken as a preview for the next season of "Project Runway" but it's actually the rehearsal for the upcoming "Runway Peace Project" that is being held in New Jersey City University by the Women Speak Out Project in collaboration with the NJCU Women's History Month Committee.

It is February and that means Black History Month is in effect. Along with other colleges and universities NJCU is paying homage to African Americans who have made contributions to their communities and to the world. Black History Month originated in 1926.
